Nam District (Korean: 남구; RR: Nam-gu) is the southern district of Gwangju, South Korea.

- Bongseon-dong, also known as the richest neighborhood and the most expensive area in Gwangju,[2][3] is in the south of the city. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 43,735. South Korea is known for its heated competition for university entrance and Bongseon-dong is known for having a lot of schools and having the most tutoring centers in all of Honam, which makes it a very desirable place for people that have children in the city
